  1. Q: When using Geocell for road subgrade reinforcement in soft soil areas, what cell height is most suitable to resist the repeated rolling of heavy trucks?
A: For road subgrades bearing heavy truck loads in soft soil areas, Geocell with a cell height of 100mm - 150mm is usually preferred. This height can provide sufficient lateral confinement to prevent soil lateral displacement under repeated heavy loads. It works with graded gravel filling (particle size 10 - 30mm) to effectively disperse load pressure, reducing subgrade settlement by 30% - 50% compared to traditional subgrades.
  1. Q: In road widening projects, how to connect the new Geocell - reinforced subgrade with the old road subgrade to avoid settlement differences?
A: First, excavate a stepped interface on the old road subgrade (step height 150 - 200mm, step width ≥ 300mm). Then, extend the new Geocell to the old subgrade interface and overlap with the old subgrade by at least 500mm. Fix the overlapping part with steel anchors (spacing 500mm) and fill the Geocell with the same graded material as the old subgrade. Finally, compact the connection area with a small - tonnage vibratory roller (tonnage ≤ 10t) to ensure uniform settlement.
