  1. Q: How to use Geocell to reinforce the airport runway subgrade in soft soil areas to meet the strict flatness requirements?​
A: First, carry out ground treatment: use dynamic compaction to compact the soft soil (compaction energy 2000 - 3000kN·m) to improve the bearing capacity. Then, lay a 300g/m² non - woven geotextile, and unfold the Geocell (cell height 200mm, cell side length 400mm) on the geotextile. Connect adjacent Geocell panels by welding (welding width ≥ 50mm) to ensure a seamless connection. Fill the Geocell with cement - stabilized macadam (cement content 6% - 8%) in layers (layer thickness 100mm), and compact each layer with a 20t vibratory roller to a compaction degree of ≥ 98%. After filling, use a laser leveler to level the surface, ensuring the flatness error ≤ 3mm/3m.​
  1. Q: Can Geocell be used for the construction of airport apron areas, and what are the considerations for aircraft parking?​
A: Yes. The apron area should use Geocell with a cell height of 150 - 200mm and a tensile strength ≥ 25MPa.
